Host a City Service Corps Member
Overview of City Service Corps Program for Host Sites
City Service Corps is an AmeriCorps program administered by NYC Service in which individuals are recruited to serve full-time at select City agencies from September 2024 - June 2025. City Service Corps members are diverse civic leaders building their pathway to a public service career. Each member’s role serves to build capacity, add value to agency priorities, goals, and/or initiatives, and support in delivering vital resources or programming to more New Yorkers.
City Service Corps Mission: City Service Corps partners with City agencies to address critical local needs through direct engagement with residents, the development of new programming, and the management of resident-facing programming.
City Service Corps Vision: New York residents will have a better understanding of and access to programs designed to positively impact their quality of life.
Note: As members are not considered employees of the City of New York but rather are AmeriCorps members who are placed at agencies for their term of service, members do not count towards agency headcount.
City Service Corps Host Site Applications are Currently Closed.
New host sites are organizations that have never served as a host site in City Service Corps or have not served as a host site in the last 2 program years (i.e. If you were a host site in 2021-2022 but not since then, you would be considered “new” for 2024-2025.) Returning host sites are organizations that served as a host site in the 2023-2024 program year with one or more members, or organizations that were accepted to serve in the 2023-2024 program year but did not receive a member.
