Holiday Meal Prep for Asylum Seekers and Immigrants

Purpose/Objective:
Fundavenyc seeks to accelerate and support asylum seekers and immigrants’ transition into thriving New York City residents. Join us at a member’s home to learn about our culinary culture and help prepare traditional holiday meals for our Christmas Celebration. Help bring a smile to people’s faces (and your own) with this jovial activity!

Location:

Astoria, Queens (exact address will be shared closer to this opportunity).


Time Commitment:

This is a one-time all-day opportunity offered in December 10th prior to our mid-December Christmas Celebration. Flexible, spend as much time as desired

Key Responsibilities:

Help prepare holiday meals

Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • No particular culinary skills required, there will be something for everyone.
