As New York strives to meet the needs of our community, especially as it grows to include recently arrived asylum seekers, your help at POTS is as vital as ever. Come on down to make new friends, or grab a couple and bring them with you to POTS to show support in our Food Pantry and Community Dining Room!
Morning Shift
- Morning Meal Prep – 8am-11am
- Pantry Service Distribution – 8am-11:30am
Volunteers help our kitchen staff prepare food for lunch service and help pantry staff provide clients with healthy groceries.
Each afternoon, volunteers help our staff serve hundreds of meals to our community. Tasks may include prepping plates, serving meals, washing dishes, or bagging other food items to prepare for the next day. You might also be asked to take out the garbage and/or move heavy boxes. Due to an exciting expansion project at our Webster location, our Community Dining Room will be providing meals to-go until further notice.
