Concrete Safaris is looking for young professionals (27-34 years old) to join our Junior Board. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Concrete Safaris’ mission and who has a track record of leadership in events, business, government, philanthropy, or the non-profit sector.
Role & Responsibilities
Devote time and resources to support the children, youth, and community at Concrete Safaris
Help in organizing 1-2 fundraising events per year, including a 5K Walk/Run
Participate in Concrete Safaris’ volunteer events and utilize your network to drive awareness
Support key Board of Directors initiatives
Requirements
Give/get target of $2k per member p.a., with incremental collective fundraising goals
Two-year commitment to junior board service
Qualifications
At least 5 years of work history and/or demonstrated leadership/philanthropic experience as a grad student
Skills applicable to the organization’s key initiatives (fundraising, event planning, marketing, strategy, real estate/capital planning, legal structuring)
Connection to East Harlem is helpful
